Advisory stands

During Be a Change event, there are advisory stands in your use. On the stands you will find a person or a number you can call or a list where you can book a meeting to discuss your idea (or some other question you have in mind) from the perspective of the theme of the stand.

There is also agenda featuring workshops about topics related to development of social innovations.

Advisory stand hosts at the fair and their topics and times when they are available:

  • Idean: design
  • Pohjoisranta: media relations / marketing / communication
  • Seos: user experience, Thu 11-15
  • Vantaan uusyrityskeskus: developing a business idea / writing a business plan, Thu & Fri 8:30-16
  • InnoSpa: innovation-fostering organizational culture, Thu & Fri 9-15
  • Uskalla innostua: a great facilitator available. A group can book a meeting with the faci who will help them accomplish whatever they want to accomplish at the moment, e.g. making up a name for a company or analysing their common strengths.
  • Vantaan ja Espoon työvoimatoimistot: start-up money / employing / byrocracy
  • ConeAdvisor: strategy, Thu
  • Collective stand for other resources: e.g. get your marketing materials straight to printing at Multiprint or learn about the benefits of Suomen ekoyrittäjät membership, Thu and Fri round the clock

Stands waiting for confirmation:

  • SpeakersForum: pitching a business idea
  • Patentti- ja rekisterihallitus: entrepreneurship byrocracy and legal issues
  • Pretax: financial management of a small enterprise

This seminar setting could be challengable. Why not make it a fair where people wouldn't have to sign up but the stands and info sessions would be there all the time and they'd check the program and decide when they want to show up? Challenge would be how to still keep up the intensity of the competition. If they clearly see that it's a lot of hard work to get the concept ready during those Thu and Fri, maybe at least the competition participants would stay the whole time. And could quantity of other people compensate for the fact that they are changing all the time?

Hello,

here is the first draft of Agenda, based on the discussions with Meri and Idean. It also includes a lot of my own impressions on what steps are needed in order to have a successful starting company.

All comments and ideas are welcomed, unfortunately my visual abilities are quite restrained and the agenda isn't that pretty -yet-. I will post the agenda updates in this forum from now on.

I wonder if there is a way I can attach this excel sheet to the forum...
